Jan Kowalski leads Crypto License Europe's Poland practice from the Vilnius office, where he covers the full spectrum of Polish crypto licensing — from initial VASP registration and MiCA CASP authorization applications to EU passporting and ongoing KNF compliance. His decade of experience in Polish financial regulation gives clients a significant advantage in navigating KNF's documentation requirements and formal review processes.

Prior to Crypto License Europe, Jan served as compliance officer at a Warsaw-based fintech exchange and as associate at a financial services law firm. His early-career work at PwC Warsaw gave him deep grounding in the regulatory reporting frameworks that underpin MiCA compliance today.

Jan Kowalski holds an LL.M. from University of Warsaw, Faculty of Law, specialising in EU financial services regulation and corporate law. He completed additional studies in EU Financial Law at the College of Europe, focusing on the intersection of MiCA and the broader EU financial regulatory framework.
